Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe’iyewigamig offers primary health care and preventative services combining traditional and contemporary approaches to health and healing. Complementary programs include a residential healing program and hostel accommodation for people accessing hospital services in Kenora.

The core of our model is four inter-professional teams (Waabanong, Zhaawanong, Ningaabii’anong, and Giiwedinong. In order to foster strong relationships and continuity of care, the teams focus on specific communities, and share responsability for the urban population.
Specialized complementary services are provided through Waashkootsi Nanaandawe’iyewigamig and Shaawanobinesiik Gibichii’igamig.
Each profesionnal team applies the model, using both culture-based and contemporary approcahes, to offer these programs and services.
From acute to occasional illness to chronic diseases, the WNHAC team offers a wide range of care services including assesment, diagnosis and treatment.
WNHAC’s health promoters offer knowledge and experience activities in a number of key topic areas including healthy living, smoking prevention, reproductive and oral health.
Social workers are available to support the emotional and social needs of clients and family members dealing with illness, chronic disease, or other issues affecting overall health.
