We provide primary health care through a range of options including prevention, assessment,
\ndiagnosis and treatment. Our team includes health professionals, educators and support workers
\nrepresenting both traditional Indigenous and contemporary models of care, and uses wholistic
\nhealth and community development concepts.
\nThis is a part time position involving shift work, including weekends. The hostel operates 24\/7 and
\nprovides a supportive environment for clients and family members requiring overnight
\naccommodations; while accessing health care services in Kenora. Maintaining cleanliness of the
\nfacility is a requirement of the position. The position may also involve client and family crisis, and
\nfacilitating access to other WNHAC or community resources.
\nNOTE: Indigenous traditional practices involving burning sacred medicines including
\ntobacco, sweetgrass, sage and cedar and other cultural protocols occur regularly within our
\nwork setting.<\/p>\n

\n\uf0b7 good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a wide variety of people
\n\uf0b7 ability and willingness to work shift hours and weekends
\n\uf0b7 current criminal\/vulnerable person\u2019s records check
\n\uf0b7 commitment to ongoing training and professional development relevant to job
