Our team includes health professionals, educators and support workers representing both<br \/>\ntraditional Indigenous and contemporary models of care, and uses wholistic health and community<br \/>\ndevelopment concepts.<br \/>\nThis position supports optimal client care by welcoming clients and obtaining initial information required to provide effective care; ensuring clinic rooms are adequately stocked and cleaned to infection control<br \/>\nstandards; maintaining a supply of sterile equipment and supplies; and maintaining equipment and supply inventories. Backup support for front desk positions when necessary.<br \/>\n<strong>NOTE<\/strong>: Traditional practices involve burning sacred medicines including tobacco, sweetgrass, sage and<br \/>\ncedar within the work setting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Personal Support Worker Certification is an asset;<\/li>\n<li>experience working in an Indigenous organization and ability to understand and speak<br \/>\nAnishinaabemowin a definite asset;<\/li>\n<li>excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate<br \/>\neffectively;<\/li>\n<li>strong organizational and inventory management skills;<\/li>\n<li>demonstrated ability to work independently and be an effective team member;<\/li>\n<li>knowledge and understanding of infection control practices;<\/li>\n<li>strong commitment to ongoing training (some on the job training will be provided);<\/li>\n<li>valid drivers\u2019 license and own vehicle required; copy of current drivers\u2019 abstract required;<\/li>\n<li>current criminal records check;<\/li>\n<li>proof of immunization in compliance with policy requirements is mandatory for employment;<\/li>\n<li>positive attitude and capacity to act as a healthy lifestyle role model.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary<\/strong>: $45,299 &#8211; $59,105 with excellent benefits, including HOOPP pension plan.
