Pause on Intake

In 1998, WNHAC was created to provide primary health care services to the local First Nation and Metis people in and around Kenora and Dryden. While that remains our commitment, we have been operating well beyond capacity for some time and can no longer keep up with current demand.

Effective April 23, 2025, we will be implementing a pause on New Intakes in Kenora until July 31st as we review our client panels to ensure that all people are assigned to the most appropriate provider to best meet their care needs. During this time, WNHAC will continue to provide urgent needs appointments to ensure clients receive the care they need and are placed on our current intake waitlist.

In the meantime, you can help us maximize our resources by posting the attached information in your community and encouraging community members to follow these recommendations.

Miigwech for your support in making this initiative a success.
